ダブル・ベル・ユーフォニアムは４または５つのヴァルヴを持ち、ほぼすべてがフロントアクションのものです。トロンボーン・ベルは前方を向いているのが標準で、ユーフォニアム・ベルの方はアップライトのものとフロントのものとがあります（この２つが交換可能なモデルもある）。

Meredith Wilsonのミュージカル「The Music Man」の中の有名な曲「７６本のトロンボーン」で様々な楽器の名前が歌われる中にダブルベル・ユーフォニアムの名も出てきます。
